I’m very excited to announce a new title partnership with Chocolove, based right here in Boulder, Colorado!
Chocolove makes incredible premium chocolate bars and I’m a longtime customer. My roommate in college worked on the assembly line, removing broken bars. This meant he occasionally brought home an entire trash bag of broken dark chocolate raspberry bars that lived in our fridge, occupying an entire shelf, fortifying long rides and late nights. Since then, I’ve kept a stock of Chocolove bars in my pantry at all times (usually sea salt in dark chocolate, chilies and cherries in dark chocolate or crystallized ginger in dark chocolate). I couldn’t be happier to partner with them and hope to share my love for their chocolate with all of you. It truly is something I enjoy every, single, day.
Chocolate Samples and Chocolove Cycling Kits by Cuore
Speaking of…yes, I will have samples to share! Because the bars need to be kept out of the heat, it’ll be on a case by case basis. I hope to have some new flavors with me for the public rides I’m leading from Specialized Boulder (more on that below) as well as events when and where I can bring them with. Just ask me!
Even more exciting is that we’re going to be making the Chocolove cycling kit available for order. If you’re interested in the kits – please drop me your email address using the dropdown form on this site and I’ll send out a note when they’re ready for ordering. I’ve partnered with the local Boulder team at Cuore
for my race suits as well as the Chocolove cycling kits and I think you’ll be very pleased with the quality of the products. Hopefully we’ll have a happy little army of Chocolove riders out there, smiling on the roads and trails.
Continuing forward from last year, I’ll be partnered with Specialized
for everything equipment related, head to toe (literally) and I’m very pumped to continue working with the team there. One of the big components of the partnership will be my involvement with the new Specialized Boulder experience center opening in August. Not sure if you want the carbon or aluminum version of a bike and want to try both? Want to see what all the hype is around the new Stumpjumper? Just want to see all the new equipment in person in one place? They’ll be able to help with all of that by housing nearly the entire range of Specialized bikes for demos (as short as 2 hours if you want) as well as knowledgeable staff that can point you in the right direction and let you know the nearest dealer with it in stock.
Racing and Rides
The cycling program will be a mix of summer events leading into the national cyclocross season. I’ve just wrapped up the Mavic Haute Route Rockies, have a few MTB events on the schedule, and am road tripping with my wife out to Rebecca’s Private Idaho gravel race in Ketchum. In addition, I’ll be leading a handful of public rides over the next few months starting from Specialized Boulder. A couple different gravel rides to escape the heat and possibly a trail bike day – we’ll see! Any requests?
More About Chocolove
Chocolove chocolate bars are available in over 41 distinct flavors that range from a sweet, creamy Milk Chocolate with a 33% cocoa content, up to an Extreme Dark with an impressively strong yet smooth 88% cocoa content. Tied to chocolate’s natural counterpart, love, each bar resembles a love letter, complete with a romantic poem.
For over 20 years, Chocolove has been quietly developing a loyal consumer following in natural and organic food stores around the country, including Whole Foods and Wild Oats. In 2005, Chocolove began its expansion into gourmet and conventional grocers, such as King Soopers, Gelson’s, HEB and Bristol Farms, making this delightful treat more readily available to its ever-growing fan base.
Chocolove started as the classic entrepreneur story – a dream, a garage, extended credit card debt and loans from friends and family. With its visionary chocolatier, and a solid concept, Chocolove became, and continues to be, a pioneer in the chocolate industry.
Timothy Moley is the founder, owner and chocolatier at Chocolove. A tall and slightly eccentric man, he reminds you a little of Willy Wonka. His laid-back attitude, wry grin, and lanky physique would never lead you to believe he is a man who lives and breathes chocolate, and has been consuming two chocolate bars, every day, for over 20 years. Seriously.
