I could not be happier with this combo 2-child trailer-stroller from Allen Sports. First, the color is super-bright (for safety) and looks really nice. My daughter loves looking out the oversized windows when she's being towed or pushed, and there's lots of room for her and her toys. The frame seems sturdy, and I'm glad that Allen didn't use plastic wheels, as I've heard that these are not as durable as metal wheels.
Easy assembly and easy to use overall. It rolls great behind the bike and is very stable. It's easy to get the child in and out of the trailer.
The harness straps present a minor issue because they push the child's helmet (and head) forward, making the child uncomfortable and putting their head at an unsafe angle. I've added a pad behind the child and it corrects this issue.
As a stroller this is a great way to keep baby in her own safe little bubble during walks. The stroller works great on the beach too!
Overall I would say this is a great design for the money.
I looked at so many single bike trailer/joggers, read many reviews and finally decided upon this one. I was not disappointed! Such a great price for a great trailer. I waffled between this trailer/jogger and the straight trailer but thought this one would give me a little more bang for my buck. It folds surprisingly flat and will easily fit in my car with room to spare. My little one loves it and I'm so happy I can now go for a ride with my toddler and not have to worry about finding someone to watch my 1 year old. It was very easy to put together myself despite the terrible instructions provided. It seems sturdy, light to pull and I like the simplicity of being able to attach and un-attach it to the bike in a matter of minutes. The shipping was also super fast which I appreciated. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quality bike trailer without breaking the bank.
I really love this trailer/stroller. It's light very easy to use and moves well with the bike you don't even notice that your pulling a trailer. I have not used it as a stroller yet but it does move very well & easily with 1 kid in it. It's easy to take apart and put together. We have only used this 2 times so far and it will definitely get a lot of use. One thing that I did notice was the velcro does not quite line up perfectly and you have to adjust it a little when putting together and using but that is a minor issue. I like that it can carry 2 children but would love to be able to strap my son in the center when its just him instead of on one side but that's just a personal preference. We will be keeping it fully assembled all the time unless we are taking it somewhere. But as I said before it's really easy to take apart and assemble.
This was a gift for my daughter and her two children. They have used it everyday since we received it and are so happy they can now travel around together! It was easy for her to assemble and seems very sturdy and safe. I do not believe they have used the stroller aspect yet, but am sure that will work just as well. Thank you for making such a great, affordable product for us!
Rack should only be used on vehicles where it can be properly mounted as described in instructions included with product. Fit list applies only to installation of Allen Trunk Racks on standard vehicle models in original and non-customized condition (no after-market spoilers, external spare tires, etc.).
Racks should never be used on any type of trailer or the front of vehicle.
